Try it now: Scan with Phone is free and works in your browser.
Open Tool

What you need

A phone with a camera (Android or iPhone), a computer on the same Wi-Fi network, and the document you want to scan. No app installation is required - the scanner runs entirely in your phone browser.

Step 1: Open the scanner

On your computer, open the Scan with Phone tool and click "Scan Document with Phone". A QR code appears on screen.

Step 2: Connect your phone

Open your phone camera app and point it at the QR code, or scan it with any QR reader. Tap the link that appears - your phone browser opens the scanner page.

Step 3: Position the document

Place the document on a flat, contrasting surface (a dark table works well for white paper). Hold your phone above it. The scanner detects the document edges automatically and draws a green outline when it finds them.

Step 4: Capture

In Auto mode (on by default), the page is captured automatically once the document is steady - a progress ring shows the countdown. You can also tap the shutter button manually.

Step 5: Scan more pages

After each capture, just remove the page and place the next one - the scanner detects the new page and captures it automatically. Repeat for as many pages as you need.

Step 6: Review and finish

Tap Done to open the review screen. Tap any page to re-crop it (drag the corner dots), rotate it, change the filter, or delete it. Then return to your computer - every page is already there. Choose your PDF options and click Generate PDF to download.
