Why choose PNG over JPG here?

PNG is lossless, so text edges and fine lines stay crisp. JPG compresses photographs better but can blur sharp text at small sizes.

The PNGs are large - how do I shrink them?

Convert them to JPG or WEBP with the image converters, or run them through Compress Image.

Do the images keep the page order?

Yes - files inside the ZIP are named in page order.
