Convert iPhone HEIC photos to widely-supported JPG.
Since 2017, iPhones save photos as HEIC - a modern format that stores the same quality in about half the space of JPG. The catch: many Windows apps, websites, printers and forms still cannot open HEIC files. This tool decodes your iPhone photos and re-saves them as standard JPGs that work everywhere.
Can I stop my iPhone saving HEIC?
Yes - Settings > Camera > Formats > "Most Compatible" makes the camera save JPG directly, at the cost of larger files on the phone.
Does converting lose quality?
HEIC to JPG is a format change, not a quality reduction beyond JPG's normal high-quality encoding - the photo looks the same.
I have many HEIC files.
Convert them one by one here; for a whole library, changing the iPhone setting and using a desktop HEIC converter is faster.
