Shrink image file size with adjustable quality.
Modern phone cameras produce 3-8 MB photos - far more than email attachments or upload forms allow. This tool re-encodes your image more efficiently at a quality level you choose, keeping the same pixel dimensions while cutting the file size, often by half or more, with no visible difference at normal viewing size.
How much smaller will it get?
Photographs typically shrink 40-70% with no visible change. Already-optimized images shrink less - there is a floor to what efficient encoding can do.
Compress or resize - which do I need?
Compress keeps the same number of pixels; resize reduces them. If the image is much larger than needed (a 4000px photo for a 1200px slot), resize first, then compress.
Will it still look sharp for printing?
At a conservative quality setting, yes. For large prints, keep quality high or stay with the original.
